Grandmaster Kim writes about Competition Rules

Grandmaster S.J. Kim, Founder and President of Taekwon-do International posted the following message to Facebook on January 18, 2018.

Dear Masters/instructors,

Please note the following changes of 2018:

- Championship free fighting will be semi-contact, continuous matches
- Hand techniques will be allowed to the facial area
- All techniques will be awarded as one point

The above changes will require slightly different practice and preparation. Also note the changed rules are only applied to adult black belt divisions, for now.

For the new rules please contact Glen Ridge Taekwon-do. Further, there will be referee seminars given in various regions.
